Monster Walleye Fishing Derby Rules
Derby will run from 6 am Friday, August 10th through Sunday, August 12th, closing at 6 pm on Sunday.
All fish must be taken on sport tackle with bait.
The derby will be anywhere on Lake Temiskaming and the tagged species is limited to Walleye only. The tagged fish will be released evenly and randomly over the water body.
This is a tagged fishing derby - you must catch the tagged fish.
All tagged fish are prize winners. One (1) tagged fish, preselected by the insurance company, wins the Grand Prize of $100,000
All contestants must have purchased an official derby ticket prior to the time of the catch and the fish must be caught on the dates of the derby ticket.
Anglers must comply with all Ontario Fish and Game Regulations, and all boaters must have adequate life preservers.
Tickets must be purchased from an official ticket vendor prior to fishing.
Price is ($100.00) dollars in advance for each angler for 3 Derby days.
Purchased tickets can not be passed down to another angler to fish in the derby.
Ticket must be on hand at all times throughout the derby.
All those in any vessel must have an official derby ticket.
Any contestant failing to obey the rules will be subject to disqualification along with all other contestants in the entire vessel.
All tagged fish caught on a derby ticket must be called in/reported before 9 pm on the day caught, Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th. Sunday the 12th no later than 6pm. Any fish caught after 6pm Sunday will not qualify for this derby.
The New Liskeard Lions Club will be relieved of any other future liability regarding this promotion.
At least one witness must testify for you that the fish was caught in accordance with official derby rules. The derby ticket must be signed by that witness, verifying that he was in fact present to witness his catch.
The following are not eligible to participate in the derby: The fishing committee that is directly in charge of releasing the tagged Walleye for 2011.
All entries and awarding of prizes are subject to review and the final determination by the New Liskeard Lions Club Committee. Participants maybe subject to a polygraph test. Violation of any rule will disqualify the contestant.
The New Liskeard Lions Club reserves the right to photograph all derby entrants, reproduce any photographs for publicity purposes, and retain all photo rights.
All prize winners are responsible for all taxes and fee associated with prize winnings.
Prizes may be subject to withholding based on Revenue Canada requirements.
