We sponsor and/or donate to the New Liskeard Lions hockey team, the Boy Scouts, lacrosse, various youth camps and much more. The Club raises funds in order to assist people in need of medical equipment which we loan out at no cost to them.
The Club has donated over $88,000.00 to the Temiskaming Hospital and it's Foundation. We sponsor the Lions' Tennis Courts, the skate board park, Lions Park, some public swims at the city pool, Zack's Crib and more. The Club organizes the Santa Claus parade, works the gate for the Fall Fair, and assists in the Biker's Reunion. The Club donates towards the training and purchase of vision guide dogs. We support by way of donations, childhood diabetes research, CNIB, hunger eradication and so much more. Since the inception of our Club, we have donated more than $3,000,000 to the betterment of our community. In 2023, the New Liskeard Lions Club was named as the Citizen of the Year, by CJTT radio station, The Club serves the citizens of our community in many ways, not many of which are ever known outside the Club and the person who is the recipient of that service.
